Keep dry in the TRAILSHELL JACKET: a lightweight waterproof for hiking and any other outdoor use.
Fully waterproof and breathable, the TRAILSHELL JACKET has been constructed with a lower environmental impact at heart. This is thanks to the use of a new mono fabric, Pertex Revolve. It combines the outer-shell and the waterproof, breathable membrane - both of which are made from 100% recycled polyester - into one singular construction, which also makes it easier to recycle at end-of-life.
The Pertex Revolve fabric is highly waterproof, at 20,000 HH. It's also extremely breathable, allowing sweat to escape when you're working hard. An adjustable hood with wire-reinforced peak provides extra protection against the wind and the rain, and can be clipped down when not in use.
Weighing just 295g for the men's (UK size Medium) and 260g for the women's (UK size 10), the TRAILSHELL JACKET is super lightweight. When not in use it packs down small into its own hood, for easy carrying.
The jacket has a comfortable, relaxed fit that's neither too slim, nor too loose. This allows you room to move freely and for additional layering on colder days. A clever, no-ride-up waist hem adds to the comfortable, secure feel. In terms of pockets there are two hand pockets that give ample room for storage (they're large enough to fit an OS map in).

Product Care
EVERY TIME YOU WEAR YOUR WATERPROOF JACKET:
- Wear a long sleeve top underneath to allow it to wick sweat away from your skin and keep you dry.
- Tumble dry after every use on a low heat to reactivate the jacket’s waterproof coating.
WASHING INSTRUCTIONS:
- Zip up any zips and fasten any Velcro before placing inside the washing machine.
- Add detergent to the detergent draw of your washing machine. We recommend using Grangers® Performance Wash. Do not use fabric softener.
- Wash your waterproof jacket according to its care label instructions.
- Air dry naturally or tumble dry on low.
RE-WATERPROOFING:
Over time all waterproof jackets lose their water repellence. To maintain this we recommend re-proofing your jacket every 6-12 months. If you have a big race or adventure coming up, it’s always wise to re-proof your jacket.
We recommend using Grangers® Wash + Repel Clothing 2 in 1 to re-proof your jacket. This cleans and re-proofs your jacket in a single washing machine cycle. Alternatively you can apply Grangers® Performance Repel Plus spray to your jacket after it has been washed (and still wet).
Warranty
We pride ourselves on the quality and performance of our products. However, in the unlikely event of a fault of defect, all INOV8 products come with a 12-month warranty.
This warranty excludes:
- Normal wear and tear
- Misuse
- Accidental damage
- Issues caused by not following the products care instructions

Stay dry in a downpour with Pertex® Revolve. This innovative fabric combines the outer shell of the jacket with a waterproof, breathable membrane, making it lighter and more environmentally friendly. The TRAILSHELL is waterproof to 20,000 HH, which means it will keep you dry even in heavy rain.

Adjustable Hood
Get extra protection from the wind and the rain with the TRAILSHELL's protective hood. This has a wire-reinforced peak to keep the rain out of your eyes and is adjustable so you can find the best fit. When not in use, the hood can be clipped down do it doesn't flap about in the wind or when walking.

Lower Environmental Impact
The TRAILSHELL has been constructed using Pertex® Revolve fabric, which is made using 100% recycled nylon. The Durable Water Resistance finish is fluorocarbon free as well. Combining the outer-shell and waterproof membrane into a single layer also makes the jacket easier to recycle at end of life.
