It’s that time of year. The CrossFit Games Open is here. Workout 26.1 and 26.2 have been announced - scroll down this blog post for more details and reaction.

In gyms across the world, athletes of all abilities will take part in the annual first stage of the CrossFit Games season.

What is The Open?

Running from February 26 to March 16, The Open is the first stage on the journey to The CrossFit Games.

Over three weeks, three workouts will be released, with athletes of all abilities across the globe having the chance to complete the workout and submit their scores online.

The Open is one of the largest participatory sports events in the world, with hundreds of thousands of people getting involved to be in with a shot of making it all the way to The CrossFit Games.

What comes next?

The top 25% of individuals who take part in The Open will progress to the quarter-finals, which take place towards the end of March.

Running for five days, the quarter-finals consists of a further series of workouts, with the top 2,000 men and women advancing to the semi-finals stage

From here, the top 30 men and women in the world will progress to The CrossFit Games – taking place this year at the SAP Center in San Jose, California.

The first second of the 2026 CrossFit Games Open was announced on March 5. The workout consists of:

The CrossFit Games 2025

The 2025 CrossFit Games was a big one for INOV8, with multiple athletes competing across different categories.

Dani Speegle took part in The CrossFit Games Finals in Albany, New York - her sixth appearance at the finals.

She competed in the team event, placing sixth with CrossFit Invictus.

CrossFit Games legend Scott Panchik returned too – this time in the 35-39 category of The CrossFit Games Masters.

Scott faced up against other top names in the sport and rolled back the years with an incredible series of performances that resulted in him taking the win.

It was a huge achievement for Scott, who described it as “easily one of my favourite sport moments of my life.”
