Dani Speegle is a six-time CrossFit Games athlete and one of the fiercest competitors in the sport. She’s also an American Gladiator, winner of The Titan Games, and founder of the ‘Girls Who Eat’ movement.
About Dani
Dani Speegle is an American fitness athlete based in San Diego, California. INOV8 re-signed Dani as a sponsored athlete at the start of 2024 following two years away from the brand.
A competitive gymnast for 10 years as a youngster, Dani was forced to quit the sport with a back injury. She took up volleyball, track & field athletics, and diving. Then, during her final year at college, she watched a video about the CrossFit Games and was instantly hooked.
The CrossFit Games
First held in 2007, the CrossFit Games is an annual competition that determines the world’s fittest athletes. Competitors are tested across a diverse set of unannounced fitness workouts, both inside and outside the gym setting.
Such workouts have previously included distance swims, obstacle courses, 1-rep-max lifts, handstand walking, sled pushes, rope climbs, and odd-object carries.
Dani has qualified for the CrossFit Games six times. Her first five appearances (2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2024) were in the women’s individual division, with a best finish of 13th in 2020. In 2025 she competed in the team event, placing sixth with CrossFit Invictus.
Dani followed up that up by switching back to individual competition for the 2025 Rogue Invitational, where she placed 8th.
The Titan Games
Aired on the NBC channel between 2019-2020, The Titan Games was a sports competition reality sports hosted by Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. Competitors went up against each other in gruelling endurance-based physical challenges that tested strength, fitness and grit.
Dani Speegle won the second season of the show, becoming the ‘Ultimate Titan’ alongside male champion Matt Chan.
Watched by an estimated audience of 3.5 million, Dani’s incredible performance on the show helped elevate her profile further.
American Gladiators
In June 2025, Dani was announced as one of the Gladiators in the Amazon Prime reboot of American Gladiators.
Filmed in the summer of 2025 in France, it is set to be aired across Amazon Prime Video’s 240 countries and territories in either 2025 or 2026 (date to be confirmed).
Girls Who Eat
Founded by Dani in 2022, Girls Who Eat is a movement to promote a healthy lifestyle and positive body image for women.
Dani started the movement on her popular Instagram page, posting content to support as many women as possible in being confident, strong and healthy.
She says: “I want other women to love and celebrate their bodies. Women can do anything and be anything – lifting each other up is what helps us all rise together.
“This is a movement to empower women to live their lives unchained by societal norms. We are fuelling our bodies to change the narrative, to inspire, and to create the unimaginable.”
Using Social Media
Dani has a huge social media following, particularly on Instagram where she has 1.8 million followers.
She uses the platform to post motivational and humorous content about her workouts, competitions, Girls Who Eat, and life outside of the gym.

Favourite Footwear
As a sponsored INOV8 athlete, Dani helps test new footwear and feed back into the design process. Her three favourite INOV8 shoes for training and workouts are:
“It’s my everyday shoe for the gym and on the go. INOV8 offers such a wide portfolio of great shoes to cater to my needs but the F-LITE™ MAX has been my go-to for a long time.”
“Everyone knows I’m not really a cardio person, but I’ve had to increase the cardio training as the sport evolves. ROADFLY™ MAX is the pair that saves my ankles (and life) in these workouts.”
“What do I use the F-LITE™ for? What don’t I use them for! I’m not big on lifters, so any shoe that can help me accomplish all the facets of training that I need is super rare.”
