Meet our most technical, insulated running jacket: the CLIMASHELL PRO ALPHA.

Super lightweight at just 195g (average across all sizes), this packable jacket meets mandatory race kit requirements when an insulating layer must be carried.

The CLIMASHELL PRO ALPHA JACKET brings together three premium fabrics, to create a garment that regulates your body warmth during intense exercise in the cold. Body mapped Polartec® Alpha™ Active Insulation acts to keep hear in when you need it, and lets it out when you don’t. Pertex® Quantum Air fabric provides a wind and water resistant shell, to keep you protected in challenging conditions. Finally a Polartec® Power Grid™ fleece back panel offers high stretch and breathability.

Whether long winter training runs, or mountainous ultramarathons, the CLIMASHELL PRO ALPHA JACKET gives you dependable lightweight protection. Designed specifically for running, the CLIMASHELL is optimised for stop/start activities, or runs that vary in intensity by regulating your body temperature accordingly.

THERMOSHELL PRO JACKET

WASHING INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Zip up all zips on the jacket.
  2. Add laundry detergent to the detergent drawer of your washing machine. We recommend using Grangers® Performance Wash detergent as it is specifically designed for activewear. Do not use fabric softener.
  3. Wash the jacket separately at 30°C on a gentle washing machine cycle.
  4. Once the cycle finishes, put it through an additional rinse cycle to ensure the jacket is free from detergent.

DRYING:

For best results, and to rejuvenate the Primaloft® Black Insulation ThermoPlume, it is best to tumble dry your THERMOSHELL PRO on a low heat setting. Add drier balls or clean tennis balls into the tumble drier to aid even drying and prevent the insulation from clumping.

Once the jacket begins to dry it will start to fluff up again, at which stage you can gently shake it to agitate and redistribute the down insulation. Continue to tumble dry at 15-minute intervals until the down is dry.

STORAGE:

We recommend storing your THERMOSHELL PRO loose, rather than packed down into its pocket. This helps maintain the loft (the fluffiness) of your jacket.

    Stay warm in challenging conditions with Polartec® Alpha™ Active Insulation. Lightweight and fast drying, this premium insulation is compressible for easy packing too. Alpha™ Active Insulation helps regulate body warmth by keeping heat in when you need it, and letting it out when it's not. Ideal for stop/start activities or hilly long runs where the intensity varies.

  2. Pertex® Quantum Air Wind & Water Resistant Shell

    Stay protected from the wind with the CLIMASHELL PRO ALPHA JACKET's zoned areas of Pertex® Quantum Air fabric. This superlight, soft material is wind and water resistant, but also air permeable - helping you to maintain your temperature during intense exercise.

  3. Polartec® Power Grid™ Back Panel

    The back of the CLIMASHELL PRO ALPHA JACKET is made from Polartec® Power Grid™ fabric. This lightweight material is made for movement, offering high stretch and superior wicking and high levels of breathability. All this while still providing warmth when you need it.

  4. Super Lightweight

    Although highly technical, the CLIMASHELL PRO ALPHA JACKET is surprisingly lightweight, due to it's carefully considered mapping of fabrics. Weighing just 195g (average across all sizes), it offers exceptional warmth and protection, while also meeting minimum mandatory kit requirements for weight, where an insulating layer must be carried.

  5. Packable

    When not in use, the CLIMASHELL PRO ALPHA JACKET packs down into its own back pocket, ready for stashing in a running vest or waist pack.
