Product Description

Meet your go-to shoe for any fast paced adventure. Introducing the ROCLITE 280 - a lightweight hiking shoe that can be used for walking, fastpacking and trail running.

Weighing in at 280g, the ROCLITE 280 stays true to the original ROCLITE DNA, delivering lightweight performance whether you're using them to run or hike in.

The shoe's sticky rubber outsole provides uncompromising grip on any terrain. The 6mm rubber lugs will bite deep into soft mud for traction, but also cling to wet rock. These lugs have a wide contact area for better grip and are positioned multi-directionally to let the shoe shed any debris or mud as you take your next stride.

Despite its weight, the ROCLITE 280 is packed with protective features. An underfoot rockplate guards against sharp rocks, while a toe bumper protects you from painful stubs on unseen obstacles. An external heel counter provides you with extra stability and support as you negotiate uneven, hazardous terrain.

Hike or run in comfort with the ROCLITE's EVA foam midsole, which provides bounce and energy return. The shoe's upper is made from a lightweight mesh, which is highly breathable when you're working hard.

Whether you're looking for a shoe to run, hike or run/hike in, the ROCLITE 280 has the versatility to do it all.

Product Care

WALKING FOOTWEAR

It’s important to regularly clean your walking boots or shoes in order to maintain the effectiveness of its upper and waterproof membrane.

WASHING:

For best results hand wash your shoes as close to the end of your hike as possible. To wash your shoes:

  1. Tip the shoe upside down to remove any debris from inside.
  2. Remove the insoles and loosen or remove the laces.
  3. Brush off dried/caked mud using a soft brush.
  4. Rinse your shoes under cold or lukewarm water while brushing off any remaining mud/debris (an old toothbrush is perfect for this).
  5. For more in-depth cleaning, and to revitalise any water-repellent treatment, we recommend using Grangers® Footwear & Gear Cleaner spray.

DRYING:

Place your shoes in a warm room, an airing cupboard or outside (but not in direct sunlight) to dry. Do not dry your shoes in a tumble drier or next to radiators, fireplaces or hot summer sunlight.

You can speed up the drying process by removing the shoe’s insole and shoelaces, and by stuffing them with newspaper.

Make sure your shoes are completely dry before wearing again.

RE-WATERPROOFING:

As with all water-repellent treatments, over time they begin to lose their effectiveness. To maintain your shoe’s waterproof finish, we recommend periodically re-waterproofing them using a product such as Grangers® Footwear Repel Plus.
