Mangle the mud in the MUDTALON™ ZERO, our zero-drop soft ground speedster built for racing and faster runs.
Featuring a STICKYGRIP™ rubber outsole, the MUDTALON™ ZERO’s 8mm lugs will chew through even the softest of mud to keep you moving forward at pace. Not only that, the STICKYGRIP™ outsole has been reformulated to give you better grip on wet, slippery rock. This makes the shoe perfect for racing muddy fell, mountain, obstacle course and cross country races, where getting a firm grip on treacherous terrain is critical.
There are protective features too. Our flexible META-PLATE rock plate guards against painful jabs from sharp rocks or tree roots underfoot. In addition, a toe guard overlay gives protection against painful stubs.
The MUDTALON™ ZERO is built for speed. Super-lightweight at just 255g per shoe (average across all sizes and fits), you’ll feel light and free as you fly across the ground. Cushioning is provided by a combination of a BOOMERANG FOOTBED and a lightweight FLYSPEED™ Pro foam midsole. These provide just the right amount of comfort, without compromising on ground-feel, which is essential when running at pace over technical terrain.
As a zero-drop shoe, the MUDTALON™ ZERO works with the natural movement of your foot to keep you in the flow. With an anatomical fit, the shoe gives your heel and midfoot a secure, locked-in feel, but then widens at the front to naturally allow your toes to splay as you strike the ground and push off again.
Our MUDTALON range comes in a choice of two fits: Precision or Wide. Go Precision if you have narrow feet, or prefer a closer fit when racing. Go Wide if you have wider feet or are running over longer distances.

Running Footwear
To maximise the life of your running shoes, make sure you dry them fully between runs. When dirty or muddy, clean your shoes to maintain the flexibility of the upper and its resistance to wear.
Washing:
For best results hand wash your shoes as close to the end of your run as possible. To wash your shoes:
- Remove the insoles and loosen or remove the laces.
- Brush off dried/caked mud using a soft brush.
- Rinse your shoes under cold running water while brushing off any remaining mud/debris (an old toothbrush is perfect for this).
Drying:
Place your shoes in a warm room, an airing cupboard or outside (but not in direct sunlight) to dry. Do not dry your shoes in a tumble drier or next to radiators, fireplaces or hot summer sunlight.
You can speed up the drying process by removing the shoe’s insole and shoelaces, and by stuffing them with newspaper.
Make sure your shoes are completely dry before wearing again.
RE-WATERPROOFING:
As with all water-repellent treatments, over time they begin to lose their effectiveness. To maintain your shoe’s waterproof finish, we recommend periodically re-waterproofing them using a product such as Grangers® Footwear Repel Plus.
Warranty
We pride ourselves on the quality and performance of our products. However, in the unlikely event of a fault of defect, all INOV8 products come with a 12-month warranty.
This warranty excludes:
- Normal wear and tear
- Misuse
- Accidental damage
- Issues caused by not following the products care instructions
