Maul the mud in our new soft-ground speedster, built for racing and faster runs.
The MUDTALON™ SPEED V2 lets you speed across muddy trails and hills with confidence, courtesy of its aggressive, mud-hungry 8mm lugs. The V2 benefits from a new and improved STICKYGRIP™ rubber compound – this new formula has increased wet slip resistance by 36% for dependable traction through slippery mud and over wet rocks.
A new upper pattern along the midfoot increases the lockdown you get when the laces are tightened, giving you a more secure, locked in feel as you hurtle down steep hills. The upper also benefits from extra drainage holes, allowing water to exit the shoe quickly.
Available in NATURALFIT™ Precision and Wide fits, the MUDTALON™ SPEED V2 fits securely around your heel and midfoot, with the shoe widening at the toe box to give your toes the chance to splay naturally as you land and push off. Precision fit is a snugger, more sock-like fit that will be familiar to fell/hill runners. Go Wide if your feet are a bit wider, or you’re running longer distances where your feet might swell.
The MUDTALON™ SPEED V2 is a shoe inspired by the boggy Lake District fells where we’re based. Grippy, responsive and quick-draining, it thrives in the wettest, muddiest conditions, helping athletes who like to play dirty.

Product Care
Running Footwear
To maximise the life of your running shoes, make sure you dry them fully between runs. When dirty or muddy, clean your shoes to maintain the flexibility of the upper and its resistance to wear.
Washing:
For best results hand wash your shoes as close to the end of your run as possible. To wash your shoes:
- Remove the insoles and loosen or remove the laces.
- Brush off dried/caked mud using a soft brush.
- Rinse your shoes under cold running water while brushing off any remaining mud/debris (an old toothbrush is perfect for this).
Drying:
Place your shoes in a warm room, an airing cupboard or outside (but not in direct sunlight) to dry. Do not dry your shoes in a tumble drier or next to radiators, fireplaces or hot summer sunlight.
You can speed up the drying process by removing the shoe’s insole and shoelaces, and by stuffing them with newspaper.
Make sure your shoes are completely dry before wearing again.
RE-WATERPROOFING:
As with all water-repellent treatments, over time they begin to lose their effectiveness. To maintain your shoe’s waterproof finish, we recommend periodically re-waterproofing them using a product such as Grangers® Footwear Repel Plus.
Warranty
We pride ourselves on the quality and performance of our products. However, in the unlikely event of a fault of defect, all INOV8 products come with a 12-month warranty.
This warranty excludes:
- Normal wear and tear
- Misuse
- Accidental damage
- Issues caused by not following the products care instructions

With the next generation of MUDTALON™ shoes, we’ve taken the opportunity to innovate further with the POWERFLOW PRO midsole. This super-lightweight foam provides high levels of cushioning, while still allowing the ground-feel needed for running over uneven, technical terrain. We’ve also made the foam slightly firmer, helping to increase the lifespan of the shoe.
