How to measure the length of your foot

1. On a hard floor, put a piece of paper against a wall.
2. Stand on the paper in your socks. Wear the type of socks you’d normally wear with this type of shoe.
3. Make sure the back of your heel is against the wall and that you’re placing your weight on your foot.
4. Ask someone to make a mark on the paper, at the end of your longest toe.
5. Measure that distance to determine the length of your foot.
6. It’s common to have one foot bigger than the other, so make sure you measure both feet. Pick your shoe size based on the length of your longer foot.

How to measure the width of your foot:

Make sure you’ve measured the length of your foot first. You’ll need this measurement to work out the correct width.

1. On a hard floor, put a piece of paper against a wall.
2. Stand on the paper in your socks.
3. Make sure your heel is against the wall and distribute weight evenly.
4. Trace a line around your foot and mark the widest point.
5. Measure the distance and compare with the width chart.
