Run with confidence in the protective and grippy X-TALON 255 V2. A wider fitting alternative to the X-TALON G 210 and X-TALON 212 V2, the 255 still feels secure and locked-in, allowing you to feel and react fast to changes in terrain.

The shoe's STICKYGRIP™ rubber lugs grip into the mud like a talon, giving exceptional traction over soft ground. In addition, the 8mm lugs will stick and cling to wet, slippy surfaces. No wonder then that it has become a firm favourite with fell, trail and mountain runners, as well as obstacle course racers.

Crammed with protective features, the X-TALON 255 V2 has a super-tough upper made of ballistic nylon. You heard that right - ballistic nylon - a material originally developed for flak jackets! If that wasn't enough, a toe bumper protects you from sharp rocks and unseen obstacles. For obstacle course racers the shoe has ROPE-TEC rubber, to provide extra protection during rope climbs.

Features

STICKYGRIP™ Outsole

Get a firm grip on soft, wet ground and harder terrain. 8mm STICKYGRIP™ rubber studs claw through soft mud, while also clinging onto rocky or harder trails. This industry-leading grip delivers exceptional traction, allowing you to run faster across wet or dry ground.
Injected EVA Midsole

Feel the ground as you run. A thin, injected EVA midsole provides a lightly cushioned underfoot feel for greater comfort - even on rough, steep terrain. At the same time, the thin midsole also allows the shoe to flex, allowing for a responsive ride.
Ballistic Nylon Upper

Crash through the fiercest vegetation with confidence. We use ballistic nylon to provide durable protection against rocks and vegetation. Ballistic nylon was originally developed for flak jackets in World War Two! The lightweight material also doesn't absorb water, so it stays light even when wet.
Protective Features

The X-TALON 255 V2 is a protective shoe designed for extreme trail running and obstacle course racing. A toe bumper protects you from unexpected rocks and obstacles, while ROPE-TEC rubber gives you extra protection during rope climbs in obstacle course races.

Product Care

Running Footwear

To maximise the life of your running shoes, make sure you dry them fully between runs. When dirty or muddy, clean your shoes to maintain the flexibility of the upper and its resistance to wear.
Washing:

For best results hand wash your shoes as close to the end of your run as possible. To wash your shoes:
1. Remove the insoles and loosen or remove the laces.
2. Brush off dried/caked mud using a soft brush.
3. Rinse your shoes under cold running water while brushing off any remaining mud/debris (an old toothbrush is perfect for this).
Drying:

Place your shoes in a warm room, an airing cupboard or outside (but not in direct sunlight) to dry. Do not dry your shoes in a tumble drier or next to radiators, fireplaces or hot summer sunlight.

You can speed up the drying process by removing the shoe’s insole and shoelaces, and by stuffing them with newspaper.

Make sure your shoes are completely dry before wearing again.
RE-WATERPROOFING:

As with all water-repellent treatments, over time they begin to lose their effectiveness. To maintain your shoe’s waterproof finish, we recommend periodically re-waterproofing them using a product such as Grangers® Footwear Repel Plus.
