Mangle the mud in our new zero-drop superstar, built for racing and faster runs. The MUDTALON™ ZERO V2 is designed to offer a more natural running experience when racing over mud and soft trail. Featuring a number of upgrades on its predecessor, the V2 delivers a grippy, responsive ride with an unrivalled fit.
New and improved STICKYGRIP™ on the shoe’s outsole provides uncompromising grip, with its aggressive 8mm lugs gouging through the thickest and ooziest of mud. Not only that but the outsole rubber compound has been improved to offer a 36% increase in wet slip resistance, allowing you to confidently skip across wet rocks and obstacles.
A super critical foam – FLYSPEED™ PRO – provides the shoe’s midsole cushioning, working with its BOOMERANG FOOTBED for a lightweight, bouncy and responsive ride.
Another upgrade for the V2 is the shoe’s upper. This has been overhauled to allow for better drainage as well as providing increased lockdown in the midfoot for that secure feeling needed for racing up and down boggy hills. Finally, completing the improvements is a sleeker tongue that helps the shoe look as fast as it feels!
Available in NATURALFIT™ Precision and Wide fits, the MUDTALON™ ZERO V2 fits securely around your heel and midfoot, with the shoe widening at the toe box to give your toes the chance to splay naturally as you land and push off. Precision fit is a snugger, more sock-like fit that will be familiar to fell/hill runners. Go Wide if your feet are a bit wider, or you’re running longer distances where your feet might swell.

Product Care
Running Footwear
To maximise the life of your running shoes, make sure you dry them fully between runs. When dirty or muddy, clean your shoes to maintain the flexibility of the upper and its resistance to wear.
Washing:
For best results hand wash your shoes as close to the end of your run as possible. To wash your shoes:
- Remove the insoles and loosen or remove the laces.
- Brush off dried/caked mud using a soft brush.
- Rinse your shoes under cold running water while brushing off any remaining mud/debris (an old toothbrush is perfect for this).
Drying:
Place your shoes in a warm room, an airing cupboard or outside (but not in direct sunlight) to dry. Do not dry your shoes in a tumble drier or next to radiators, fireplaces or hot summer sunlight.
You can speed up the drying process by removing the shoe’s insole and shoelaces, and by stuffing them with newspaper.
Make sure your shoes are completely dry before wearing again.
RE-WATERPROOFING:
As with all water-repellent treatments, over time they begin to lose their effectiveness. To maintain your shoe’s waterproof finish, we recommend periodically re-waterproofing them using a product such as Grangers® Footwear Repel Plus.
Warranty
We pride ourselves on the quality and performance of our products. However, in the unlikely event of a fault of defect, all INOV8 products come with a 12-month warranty.
This warranty excludes:
- Normal wear and tear
- Misuse
- Accidental damage
- Issues caused by not following the products care instructions

The new formula retains the same dependable grip and improves on it, with a 36% increase in wet slip resistance compared to the V1 MUDTALON™ Series. So whether it’s thick sloppy mud, or treacherous wet rock, our new formula STICKYGRIP™ is more dependable than ever.

The signature of the MUDTALON™ Series is its aggressive 8mm studs. Offering outstanding off-trail grip and confidence to allow you nail steep uphills, descents and the boggiest of bogs! The length of the MUDTALON™ studs allows these mud-slayers to chew through the thickest of mud and come back begging for more.

Fly over the ground with the super critical (nitrogen-infused) FLYSPEED™ Pro foam midsole. This hardwearing foam provides a great balance between cushioning, ground-feel and stability over uneven terrain. Ideal for when you need sustained comfort and support when ticking off big miles.

Improved Upper
All V2 shoes in the MUDTALON™ Series now benefit from an improved, quick draining upper. A new upper pattern increases lockdown in the MET-CRADLE, giving you a more secure fit around the midfoot. In addition there are extra drainage holes to disperse water as quickly as possible, a new sleeker tongue, and 3D print overlays to improve protection and durability.
